The Orologeria Aurili is located in Rome and has more than 50 years of activity. Thanks to the collaboration with many artisans it’s possible to perform a great variety of interventions that go beyond the mere mechanism.

Specialized in the repair of antique clocks the Orologeria Aurili offers a servicing of every type of watch, from clocks to pocket watches, as well as music boxes and automata.
Each restoration is performed with the utmost care. When necessary, it’s possible to recreate elements according to the style of the period or replace them with the material acquired over time, this mean original parts made in the antique workshops and factories.

A clock (or watch) isn’t made up only of the mechanism for this, when it becomes necessary, thanks to the collaboration with expert artisans, it’s possible to attend on several aspects such as the restoration of the wooden cases, re-gilding, chrome plating, copper plating, etc, repairing of pocket and wrist watch cases, restoring some types of enamel dials and decorations.

WHICH WATCHES ARE SERVICED

Restoring of mechanical table, wall, tall and travel clocks starting from the ancient Renaissance pieces to the the exemplars produced up to the present day.
Where necessary, it’s possible to redone damaged or missing elements.

Repairs of mechanical pocket watches starting from the ancient Renaissance pieces up to the modern remontoir exemplars.
Where necessary, it’s possible to redone damaged or missing elements.

Servicing of wristwatches from the first exemplars of 1900s up to the most recent models, with the exception of quartz, tuning fork or pluri-complicated watches for which, in the this case, an affiliated laboratory of the manufacture is recommended.

Servicing of perpetual ATMOS clocks produced by Jaeger-LeCoultre as well as the first Reutter models. In some istances isn’t possible to repair directly the bellow containing the ethyl chloride and which is used to wind up the mainspring.

Servicing of mechanical carillon, musical boxes and cages with vintage automated birds.

Servicing of the mechanical parts of small vintage automata produced up to the early 1900s.

SERVICING COST & WARRANTIES

Repair estimates are generally free of charge except for particular cases which may be required a “pre-intervention”.
Each servicing is accompanied by a one-year warranty on working regardless of the type of watch (or clock). The waterproof of vintage wristwatches isn’t guaranteed due the normal wear and tear intrinsic to the age of the watch itself.
